Pirates Week Dart tournament
September 19, 2008The annual Pirates Week tournament will commence on Sunday the 16th November at 1:00pm.
Would all participants be there no later than 12:30pm for registration purposes, so we may get started on time. The venue is Jillian’s Billiards lounge, which is located in the Islander complex downstairs from World Gym.

Dart League begins soon
September 18, 2008The Cayman Islands Darts League has been scheduled to recommence on Wednesday the 5th November 2008. There will be a Captains’ meeting on Wednesday the 8th October 2008.
The captain’s meeting will be held at Focus Administration, located in the Cayman Center# 10 which is opposite the airport Post Office, It will commence at 6:30pm.
Vivian Rankine [Mem.] Tournament
September 17, 2008The Vivian Rankine Memorial Dart tournament is on for this weekend.
This event raises college funds for George, Mr. Rankine’s son. The Cayman Islands Darts Association [CIDA] is pleased to mention that we are donating CI$ 500 to this worthy cause.
Vivian Rankine was a long-serving officer with the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service, and a member of the Police Dart Team.
Persons wishing to register early, may do so at the Corner Pocket during their normal business hours.
All players registering for the tournament will recieve a free T–Shirt provided by Cable & Wireless the tournament’s main sponsor. Trophies and other prizes will also be awarded.
Registration Fee: CI$25 for both days.
Date: 20th & 21st of September 2008, 2:30pm [Day# 1] and 1:30pm [Day# 2]
Venue: The Corner Pocket, Alissta Towers on North Sound Way, GT.

CIDA holds its AGM
September 8, 2008This past Saturday marked the 2008 Annual General Meeting of the Cayman Islands Darts Association. There was a large turnout of both members and spectators at the Corner Pocket Bar located at Alissta Towers, which was the venue for the occasion.
Mr. Arthur Ebanks [current president of the CIDA] kicked off the festivities by welcoming everyone, and outlining the agenda for the evening.
He then turned the microphone over to Mr. Emerald Mohammed, past president of the CIDA, who served as MC for the presentation of awards. Mr. Danny Tathum was on hand to represent Cable & Wireless [Cayman] ltd. and presented the trophies and awards on their behalf.
First place in the league competition, went to the Triple Crown team:

AGM update
September 2, 2008For those who may not be aware, the AGM was postponed due to the storm last weekend. It is now scheduled for 7:30pm on Saturday 6th September at the Corner Pocket.
